The Passenger Transport Management Awards are a joint venture between Local Transport Today Limited (LTT) and 83A Projects Limited. 

LTT is the publisher of the long-established and highly regarded transport industry journals Local Transport Today and Transit magazines. 

The owners of 83A are the team which organises the highly respected and hugely successful UK Bus Awards, this year entering their 13th annual competition.

The joint venture committee comprises: Peter Stonham, Rod Fletcher, Robert Jack, Chris Cheek and Ian Smith.

The objectives of the PTMA scheme are:

• To encourage best practice amongst passenger transport operators, planners and industry suppliers in the development of their managers
• To provide a forum in which such best practice receives wider media coverage, contributing to the improvement of the image of public transport modes and to the industry’s reputation amongst potential recruits
• To provide a means by which success, personal development and best practice can be understood more widely within the industry
