Transport industry rewards managers for loyalty, skills and hard work |
Managers at all levels in the UK's public passenger transport industry were rewarded for their skills, talent and commitment at the Passenger Transport Management Awards ceremony held in London on Friday 12th June. Over 30 people at all levels from bus and rail companies received prizes - winning awards in twelve categories or receiving commendations for their work. The prizes were presented at London’s prestigious Tower Hotel by Sir Moir Lockhead, the Chief Executive and Deputy Chairman of one of the world's largest public transport operators, FirstGroup. The ceremony was compered by the BBC northern transport correspondent Alan Whitehouse.

This is the web site of the Passenger Transport Management Awards, which have now been presented for the second time. The awards are designed to foster management talent in our ground passenger transport modes in the UK. The finalists for this year's scheme were announced on 11 May, and you can watch a video presentation about them by clicking HERE. The Presentation Ceremony took place at London's Tower Hotel on Friday 12 June, in a ceremony compered by the BBC's Alan Whitehouse.
